Biography

Dr Preeti Bagga is a consultant radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Gold Coast University Hospital and Icon Cancer Centre Gold Coast Private. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2002 through the Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College and Deemed University, Pune, India. Dr Bagga completed her initial training in India at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre where she achieved an award for high standards of academia. In 2006 Dr Bagga was awarded the Gold Medal by the National Board of Examinations (India) for scoring the highest marks in the radiation oncology examination within the Diplomate of National Board (DNB).

Dr Bagga completed overseas clinical placement at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute in New York with a particular interest in cancers of the prostate. In 2012, Dr Bagga was awarded fellowship to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) Dr Bagga has also been successfully completed part one of the examinations for fellowship at the Royal College of Radiologists in the United Kingdom (FRCR). Dr Bagga has special interests in head and neck, gynaecological, breast, lower gastrointestinal and prostate cancers.
